Version 6.0 was described as a "beta" release, which brought both much-needed fixes and a few new bugs.

To access World 9, you must complete all eight worlds without using any warp zone or secret exit that skips worlds. World 9 is notorious for its extreme difficulty—challenging even veteran Super Mario Bros. players.

Over 25 enemy types appear, including Goombas, Koopas (red and green), Piranha Plants, Buzzy Beetles, Spinies, Hammer Bros., Lakitus, and original creations like the Red Piranha Plant (faster attack rate) and Crystal Bricks (destroyable only with Hammer Suit).

Nintendo has never issued a takedown against Mario Forever 6.0 specifically, likely due to its non-commercial status and the lack of direct ROM distribution. However, later “Mario Forever” remakes for mobile platforms were removed from app stores.
