Lan Multiplayer - Anno 1800
Though Anno 1800 does not feature a "Legacy LAN" button in the traditional sense, players can achieve the same effect:
Ubisoft Connect is blocking broadcast packets. Fix: Manually connect via IP. On the host's PC, open Command Prompt ( cmd ) and type ipconfig . Find the IPv4 address. Type that into the client's "Join Game" field. If no field exists, alt-tab and edit the Engine.ini file found in Documents\Anno 1800\config to enable NetworkDiscovery=true . anno 1800 lan multiplayer

If the game doesn't appear in the LAN tab, disable Windows firewall or add an exception for Anno1800.exe on private networks. Also ensure all players are on the same game version (including DLC matching—everyone must have identical DLC enabled).
