The series takes place five years after the events of the original Ben 10 series. Ben is now 15 years old and has become a confident and skilled hero. He is joined by his cousin Gwen Tennyson and his friend Kevin Martin, along with new characters such as Albedo, an alien who was once a great hero but turned villainous. The team faces various challenges as they battle against evil aliens, including the return of their arch-nemesis, Vilgax.
