After Robert Jordan's passing in 2007, his estate and publisher, Tor Books, worked with Brandon Sanderson, a renowned fantasy author, to complete the Wheel of Time series. Sanderson, known for his Mistborn series and other epic fantasy works, was chosen to complete the series based on Jordan's extensive notes and outlines.

Because The Wheel of Time is a massive fourteen-book series (plus a prequel), there is no single physical "omnibus" volume containing the entire story. At roughly 4.4 million words, a single binding would be physically impossible to lift.
