This paper argues that Mita is not a non-player character (NPC) in the traditional sense, but an Algorithmic Sentience . She represents the fear of the tool that turns upon the master. The tension in the Playhouse derives from the realization that while the player controls the inputs, Mita controls the interpretation of those inputs.
