The Epson L3060 uses an ink tank system. During cleaning cycles, borderless printing, and normal use, excess ink is drained into a sponge-like inside the printer. Epson sets a conservative counter limit (usually around 8,000–15,000 pages) to prevent overflow that could damage the printer’s internals or leak out of the case.
