Any discussion of downloading Season 1 is incomplete without honoring Andy Whitfield. The Australian actor brought a profound vulnerability and rage to Spartacus. Tragically, after Season 1 concluded, Whitfield was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. He passed away in 2011.
